Michael Trenerry
Journalist & Documentary Photographer
Photography, story-telling & documenting life through the lens has always been a passion of mine. I studied photography, film making & journalism both in Melbourne & London in the 90's before "digital".
Since my earlier years I have lived and worked across five continents. I lived in East Africa as a foreign correspondent and conflict photographer in an earlier times. I also trained local journalists with Kenya's national newspaper, The Daily Nation at the time in story-telling and capturing moments through the lens.
I worked with W I R Media, a media outlet covering stories in various conflict zones around the world and I was published in Al Jazeera, US Aid and various local publications in East Africa.
Sadly, much of my portfolio was lost in translation - in film, mould, traveling, assets seized etc... but a small glimpse still exists. Different times indeed...
